sai word strength to...

Sai word strength to a lot of sai devotees.. why?

Shirdi Sai Baba's teachings primarily revolve around the principles of love, devotion, faith, and charity. Here are some key aspects of his teachings:
1

*Saiism* -
This is not a new religion but a way of life that emphasizes unity of all religions. Sai Baba taught that all paths lead to the same goal, promoting the idea of "Sabka Malik Ek" (One God for All).

2

*Faith and Patience* -
Sai Baba often emphasized the importance of "Shraddha" (faith) and "Saburi" (patience). He believed that with faith in God and patience in life's trials, one could achieve spiritual peace and success.
3
*Charity and Service* -
He actively encouraged acts of charity and service to others. His famous saying, "Whoever puts his feet on Shirdi soil, his sufferings would come to an end," underscores his message of help and healing. He practiced and taught the importance of giving, whether it was food, money, or time.

4

*Non-Discrimination*-
Sai Baba treated everyone equally regardless of caste, creed, or religion. His ashram was open to all, and he welcomed everyone with equal love and respect, teaching the lesson of unity and equality.
5
*Simplicity and Detachment* -
He lived a very simple life, teaching that true happiness comes from detachment from materialistic desires. He often said, "Why fear when I am here," encouraging people to trust in divine providence rather than material wealth.
6
*Meditation and Prayer*
Though not formally instructed, his life exemplified the power of meditation, prayer, and chanting. He would often be found in deep meditation or involved in continuous chanting, showing the path to spiritual enlightenment through these practices.

7

*Moral Living* -
Sai Baba's teachings also included living a life of moral integrity, honesty, and kindness. He instructed his followers to be good, do good, and see good.
8
*Miracles and Faith*-
While he performed many miracles, he would often downplay them, emphasizing faith over the miraculous events. He taught that miracles are not the end but a means to strengthen one's faith.
9
Sai Baba's teachings are conveyed through his life, his interactions with devotees, and the stories collected in texts like "Shri Sai Satcharita."

His philosophy is deeply rooted in Indian culture but resonates universally with its messages of love, peace, and spiritual unity.

story of Shirdi Sai Baba Statue in Samadhi MandirIn 1952,

Shirdi Sai Baba Statue in Samadhi Mandir
In 1952, a piece of a White Italian Marble had arrived from Italy
at the Bombay Docks but for whom or why, nobody seemed to know Thus, in the absence of a claimant, the dockyard authorities auctioned it off and the purchaser later offered it to the Shirdi Sai Sansthan.
Impressed by the quality of the Italian Marble, the Shirdi Sansthan planned to use it for an Idol of Sai Baba. So they gave Shri.Balaji Vasantrao Talim - a sculptor from Bombay, the humongous task of sculpting Baba's Idol.
Meticulously, Shri.Balaji Talim got his tools 'made to order' from iron-smiths and carpenters started off by first making a Model of Baba using Mud Clay. But it was difficult for Shri.Balaji Talim to make the statue in its exact likeness without the intricate details of the physical characteristic's of Baba's face, to profile which he only had Baba's one black & white photograph.

Therefore, he prayed saying "If Sri Sai Baba gives me darshan while making His Statue, the Statue will be worthy & the devotees also will have feelings of devotion".
And sure enough one early morning, around 07:00 am when Shri.Balaji entered his Studio, he saw a bright light even before he could switch on the Lights. Baba had appeared in the Light and given Darshan to him in the studio . Baba remarked on Talim's difficulties and showed him his Face from various angles, encouraging Talim to study it thoroughly and remember it well.
The Shirdi Sai Sansthan immediately approved this Mud Statue of Baba, on the basis of which the present Italian Marble Statue of Sai Baba was carved and installed in the Samadhi Shrine.
In 1954, while working with his workers at the finishing stages of Sculpting the almost ready Marble Statue of Sai Baba, Shri.Balaji Talim found an Air Pocket in a small additional portion below the Left Knee of Baba's Statue, which had to be removed. It seemed dangerous, as in removing an Air Pocket from a Finished Statue, there was every risk of the entire portion coming down, thus leaving the Statue Khandit (Broken), which therefore could not be worshiped at all. So the work stopped and Shri.Balaji Talim hesitated to strike and chisel out the additional portion.
He became nervous and prayed to Baba, "Baba have mercy on me. Your Murti is ready. Please Baba have mercy on me."Just then he then heard a voice within saying "Balaji, Carry on". So Balaji instructed his workers to carry on and chisel out the additional portion, but the workers refused to do so fearing that the entire knee portion would just drop out.

Eventually & quite nervously, Shri.Balaji Talim took the chisel & hammer himself and while praying "Baba, help me" gave a small stroke, touching the additional portion of the marble below the Left Knee. And to his great surprise, only the additional portion of the marble came down leaving the rest of Baba's Statue intact. Seeing this, tears rolled down his eyes and he prostrated before Baba, started dancing and distributing sweets to all..
--------
On 7th October`1954, Vijayadasami Day, this life like Marble Statue of Sai Baba was installed on the platform of the Samadhi Shrine's western side behind Baba's Samadhi and the due formalities of Prana Pratistha were done by Swami Sri Sai Sharanananda who had met Baba before His Mahasamadhi.

The Teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi in His Own Words

spiritual message from sai saranam shirdi tours

www.saisaranamyatra.com

*The Teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi in His Own Words– 086 *

_Mental invocation is better than oral _

Devotee: When I invoke the Divine Name for an hour or more I fall into a state like sleep. On waking up I recollect that my invocation has been interrupted, so I try again.

Bhagavan: ‘Like sleep’, that is right. It is the natural state. Because you now identify yourself with the ego, you look upon the natural state as something which interrupts your work. So you must have the experience repeated until you realise that it is your natural state. You will then find that the invocation is extraneous, but still it will go on automatically. Your present doubt is due to false identification of yourself with the mind that makes the invocation. Invocation really means ‘clinging to one thought to the exclusion of all others’. That is the purpose of it. It leads to absorption which ends in Self-realisation or Jnana.

D: How should I practise invocation?

B: One should not use the name of God mechanically and superficially without a feeling of devotion. When one uses the name of God one should call on Him with yearning and unreservedly surrender oneself to Him. Only after such surrender is the name of God constantly with you.

D: Isn’t mental invocation better than oral?

B: Oral incantation consists of sounds. The sounds arise from thoughts, for one must think before one expresses one’s thoughts in words. The thoughts form the mind. Therefore mental invocation is better than oral.

D: Shouldn’t we contemplate the invocation and repeat it orally also?

B: When the invocation becomes mental, where is the need for sound? On becoming mental, it becomes contemplation. Meditation, contemplation and mental invocation are the same. When thoughts cease to be promiscuous and one thought persists to the exclusion of all others, it is said to be contemplation. The object of invocation or meditation is to exclude varied thoughts and confine oneself to one thought. Then that thought too vanishes into its source, which is pure Consciousness or the Self. The mind first engages in invocation and then sinks into its own source.
This is certain: worship, incantations and meditation are performed respectively with the body, the voice and the mind and in this they are of ascending order of value. One can regard this eight-fold universe as a manifestation of God; and whatever worship is performed in it is excellent as worship of God.

The repetition aloud of His name is better than praise. Better still is its faint murmur. But the best is repetition with the mind – and that is meditation, above referred to.

Better than such broken thoughts (meditation) is its steady and continuous flow like the flow of oil or of a perennial stream.

Sri Tatya Kote Patil passed away on 12/03/1945.

Tatya Kote Patil’s family was one who loved Baba for Himself and not for what they got from His divinity. Tatya was the first amongst the devotees who was fully soaked in the gentle rain of Baba’s love. Tatya Kote patil was a little boy of six or seven years old when Baba first came to Shirdi. Tatya used to call Baba ‘Mama’. Baba used to treat him like His own nephew. Baba used to watch his childish behavior with motherly love. Sometimes Bayajabai scolded Tatya for his unseemly behavior, but Baba would remonstrate with her to leave Tatya alone. Baba used to call Tatya “Tatya or Kotya or Kote chaa Ghod Mukhya (Horse-faced-one)” Tatya received Rs. 35 everyday from Baba. The Income-tax authorities levied tax upon the regular recipients of Baba’s daily doles such as Tatya Patil, Bayyaji Patil and Bade Baba.
Tatya Kote Patil belonged to a middle class farming family. Initially as a result of his hard work, and later on with the money given to him daily by Baba, Tatya became a big farmer in the village. He had six pairs of oxen working in his fields, which in those days meant a big land holding.Tatya had a helping nature and was very co-operative with other villagers. Tatya’s was one of the houses from where Baba used to accept the alms.
Tatya’s mother never sent Baba away with empty handed, no matter how many times He went for alms. When there was a famine in 1876 in the state, Baba went for alms only to Tatya’s and Nanduram Marwadi’s houses. At the age of 17/18 Tatya went to many places to participate in Nama Sapthaha with Gangagir Maharaj, who praised Sai Baba as “Precious Jewel”. When Tatya told Baba about attending the Nama Saptahas, Baba was very happy about it. Sri Tatya Kote Patil passed away in 1945. Sri Tatya Kote Patil’s samadhi is located between the entrance gate to Lendi garden and the powerhouse of Sri Sai Baba Sansthan. Tatya was widely regarded as the light in the eyes of Sri Sai Baba. Perhaps his Samadhi being adjacent to the powerhouse giving light to the whole of Shirdi is the divine will of Sri Sai Baba and not entirely a coincidence.
