తిరుమల తిరుపతి ధ్వజస్తంభం కథ

కర్ణాటక దండేలీ అడవుల్నుంచి 75 అడుగుల
పొడవున్న 6 టేకుమానులు తీసుకుని 16 చక్రాల
ట్రాలీ బయలుదేరింది. ఇంత భారీ వాహనం
చేరాల్సిన గమ్యం 430 కిలోమీటర్లు!డ్రైవర్
రెండు చేతులూ జోడించి దేవుని ప్రార్ధించాడు.
వందల కంఠాలు"గోవిందా! గోవిందా!"
అంటూ ప్రతిధ్వనించాయి. అతన్ని ఏ శక్తి
నడిపిందో మరుసటిరోజు సాయంత్రానికి
గమ్యానికి చేరువలో అలిపిరి వద్దకు ఆ ట్రాలీ
చేరుకుంది. డ్రైవర్ దిగి కొండవేపు చూశాడు.
కలియుగ దైవం వేంచేసివున్న సప్తగిరి.
చుట్టూ చూశాడు. వేలాది యువతులు
హారతులిచ్చి, గోవిందా, గోవిందా అంటూ
తన్మయులైనారు.

అక్కడే ఉన్న టి.టి.డి.చైర్మన్ నాగిరెడ్డిగారికి,
ఎక్జిక్యూటివ్ ఆఫీసర్ పివిఆర్కే ప్రసాద్ గారికి
నమస్కరించి" ఘాట్ రోడ్డు 18 కిలోమీటర్లు,
ఏడు ఎనిమిది క్లిష్ఠమైన మలుపులున్నాయి.
ఇది నా జీవితంలోనే గొప్ప సాహసం.
ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ ట్రక్కును ఆపకుండా కొండ
మీదకు తీసుకుపోతాను. మధ్యలో పిట్టగోడలు
దెబ్బతినొచ్చు,అంచులు తగిలి బండరాళ్లు
దొర్లిపడవచ్చు,మీరు హామీ ఇస్తే పైకి చేర్చి
తీరుతాను అన్నాడు" వారు డ్రైవరుతో
పైకి చేర్చే బాధ్యత నీది.మిగిలిన బాధ్యతలు మావి
అని అభయం ఇచ్చారు. వాహనాల రాకపోకలను,
పాత ఘాట్ రోడ్డుకు మళ్లించారు. ట్రక్కు
బయలుదేరింది.వెనుకే వాహనాల్లో అందరూ
బయలుదేరారు. ఒక్కో మలుపు తిరుగుతుంటే
మానులు తగిలి, బండలు ఊడిపడ్డాయి.
పిట్టగోడలు కూలిపడ్డాయి. ట్రాలీ  లోయలో పడిపోతుందేమో అని వెనుక వారికి భీతి కలిగేది.
ఇలా గుండెలు ఉగ్గబట్టుకుని, ఫీట్లు చేసుకుంటూ
సంభ్రమాశ్చర్యాల మధ్య 55 నిమిషాల్లో..
సూర్యాస్తమయం లోగా
ట్రాలీ తిరుమల చేరిపోయింది.
వేలాది భక్తుల ఆనందోత్సాహాలతో
గోవిందా..గోవిందా..నామస్మరణతో
తిరుమల కొండ ప్రతిధ్వనించింది!

ఈ 6 టేకుమానులు స్వామి వద్దకు
క్షేమంగా చేరుకున్నాయి👌

🍀ఏమిటీ ధ్వజస్తంభం కథ?

నాగిరెడ్డిగారు మర్రి చెన్నారెడ్డి ఆదేశాల మేరకు
టిటిడి చైర్మన్ బాధ్యతలు స్వీకరించారు.
తిరుమలలో అనేక మరమ్మత్తులు చేపట్టారు.
అందులో భాగంగానే  ధ్వజస్థంభానికి బంగారు
తాపడానికి పాలిష్ చేయడం.
నాగిరెడ్డి గారికి తోడుగా సమర్ధుడైన
ఐ.ఏ.ఎస్ అధికారి పి.వి.ఆర్.కె.ప్రసాద్ గారు
ఎక్జిక్యూటివ్ ఆఫీసరుగా వున్నారు.
ఈ పనులన్నీ ప్రసాద్ గారు చిత్తశుద్ధితో చేసేవారు!
అప్పటి ఎక్జిక్యూటివ్ ఇంజినీర్ వెంకటరామయ్య!
ఇలా ధ్వజస్తంభం చుట్టూ వున్న నాలుగు వరుసల
గోల్డ్ ప్లేట్లు విప్పి పాలిష్ చేసే సమయంలో
అసలు విషయం బయటపడింది.
ధ్వజస్తంభాన్ని టేకుతో చేస్తారు. చూస్తే
ఆ మానంతా పుచ్చిపోయివుంది. భూమిలో
ఉండాల్సిన భాగం అసలే కనిపించడం లేదు?
మరి ఏ ఆధారంతో ధ్వజస్తంభం నిలిచిఉంది?
కేవలం ఆ బంగారు ప్లేట్ల ఆధారంతో అది ఉంది.
రేపో మాపో అది కూలిపోవచ్చు!
మరి ఇప్పుడేం చేయాలి? ఏం చేయాలి?
వేరే వారైతే దాన్ని తాత్కాలికంగా ఏదో
చేసేయ్యండి. 75 అడుగుల టేకుమానులు
బజారులో దొరకవు అని సర్దుబాటు చేసేవారు!
కానీ ఇక్కడ ఉన్నది..నాగిరెడ్డి, పివిఆర్కే ప్రసాద్!
స్వామి వారి సేవలో అచంచల భక్తి వున్నవారు.
స్వామివారికి, ఆయన భక్తులకు ఏ చిన్న లోపం
జరిగినా ఆ పాపం తమదే అని విశ్వసించే వారు.
అందుకే "ధ్వజస్తంభాన్ని పునర్మిద్దాం"
అని ప్రకటించారు👌

🛑ధ్వజస్తంభం వాడే మానుకి ఆగమశాస్త్రం
ప్రకారం నిర్ణీత లక్షణాలు ఉండాలి.
ఆ మానుకి,ఎలాంటి తొర్రలు,పగుళ్లు,వంకలు,
కొమ్మలు ఉండకూడదు.75 అడుగుల ఎత్తున్న
ఒకే మాను కావాలి. వందేళ్లకు పైగా మన్నిక
కల్గిన టేకు చెట్టు అయివుండాలి.
ఎక్కడ? ఎక్కడ?
ఈ లక్షణాలున్న చెట్లు దొరుకుతాయి?
☘పాత మాను గురించి తెలుసుకుంటే
దొరుకుతుంది అని 190 సంవత్సరాల
రికార్డులన్నీ పరిశీలిస్తే..

🍀ఆ సమయంలో బెంగుళూరు నుండి వచ్చిన
ఓ భక్తుడు వారిని కలిసి" అయ్యా! మీరు
ధ్వజస్తంభాన్ని మార్చాలనుకుంటున్నట్లు
రేడియోలో విన్నాను. అటువంటి మానులు
కర్ణాటక దండేలీ అడవుల్లో ఉన్నాయి.
మీరు అనుమతిస్తే నేను ఆ పనిచేసి పెడతాను!
వారంలోగా ఆ భక్తుడు వంద చెట్లను పరిశీలించి,
అందులో నిర్ణీత ప్రమాణాలకు అనుకూలంగా
ఆరు చెట్లను ఎంపిక చేశారు.అదే వారంలో
కర్ణాటక ముఖ్యమంత్రి గుండూరావుగారు
కుటుంబ సమేతంగా స్వామివారి దర్శనానికి
వచ్చారు..ఆయన ముందు ఈ ప్రతిపాదన ఉంచారు.
ఆయన ఆనందంగా మహద్భాగ్యం అన్నారు.
ధ్వజస్థంభానికి ఒక్కమాను సరిపోతుంది. అయినా
ముందు జాగ్రత్తగా 6 చెట్లనూ తీసుకున్నారు.
సమస్య అక్కడితో అయిపోలేదు.
దట్టమైన అడవిలో, కొండ వాలులో ఉన్న వీటిని
మొదటికంటా తీయించి 8 కిలోమీటర్ల కిందికి
తీసుకు రావడం చిన్న పనికాదు. రోడ్డు నిర్మించే
బాధ్యత చీఫ్ కన్జర్వేటర్ తీసుకుంటే..
సోమానీ పేపర్ మిల్లు వారు ఈ భాగ్యం
మాకు ప్రసాదించండి అని..దుంగల్ని
క్రేన్ల సహాయంతో రోడ్డు వరకూ చేర్చారు.
ట్రాలీకి 70,000 రూపాయల అద్దె! ట్రాలీ
బయలుదేరింది. ఎటువంటి ఆటంకాలు
లేకుండా తిరుమల చేరుకుంది!

అని దానిని తిరస్కరించారు!
డ్రైవరును స్వామివారి సమక్షంలో సత్కరించారు.
స్వామి వారి సన్నిధిలో నాగిరెడ్డి, పివిఆర్కె ప్రసాద్,
ఎక్జిక్యూటివ్ ఇంజనీర్ వెంకట్రామయ్యను
సత్కరించి, ఆయన చేతిలో ఓ కవర్ ఉంచారు!
అది విప్పి చూసిన వెంకట్రామయ్య కళ్ళలో
కన్నీళ్లు.. ఏడేళ్లుగా ఎదురు చూస్తున్న తన
ప్రమోషన్ ఆర్డర్ అది! ఇలా..స్వామివారి

అప్పుడు లక్షీ నరసింహ స్వామి వచ్చి జలాసురుడిని సంహరించాడట . జలాసురుడి కొద్దిగా పుణ్యము చేసుకొని వుండటము వల్ల , ఏదైనా మంచి కోరిక కోరుకో తీరుస్తాను అన్నాడట నరసింహ స్వామి .
ఐతే నువ్విక్కడే వెలవాలి , నిన్ను నా పేరు తో కలిపి పిలువాలి అని కోరాడట జలాసురుడు . అప్పుడు నరసింహ స్వామి అక్కడ వెలిశి ' జలానరనరసింహుడు ' గా కొలవబడుతున్నాడు .

కార్తవీర్యుని వధించిన అనంతరం పరుశురాముడు తన గురువు అయిన పరమశివుణ్ణి దర్శించుకోవాలని కైలాసం వెళ్ళాడు. ఆ సమయానికి శివపార్వతులు ఏకాంతంలో వున్నారు. బయట కాపలా కాస్తున్న గణపతి పరశురాముడిని ఇప్పుడు లోపలికి వెళ్ళడానికి వీలు పడదని నివారించాడు. "పరమేశ్వరుడిని దర్శించుకోకుండా అడ్డగించడానికి నీవెవ్వడివి" అంటూ పరుశురాముడు ధిక్కరించాడు.

మాటా మాటా పెరిగి అదికాస్తా యుద్ధానికి దారితీసింది. గణపతి తన తొండంతో పరుశురామున్ని పైకిఎత్తి పడవేశాడు. పరశురామునికి కళ్ళు బైర్లుకమ్మాయి. ఆగ్రహించిన పరుశురాముడు తన చేతిలోని గ్రండ గొడ్డలిని గణపతిపై ప్రయోగించడంతో ఒక దంతం ఊడిపడింది. ఆ చప్పుడుకు ఉలిక్కిపడిన పార్వతీ పరమేశ్వరులు శయన మందిరము నుంచి బయటికి వచ్చారు.
నెత్తురోడుతున్న బాల గణపతిని ఎత్తుకుని పార్వతి పరశురాముడిని మందలించింది. తన వల్ల జరిగిన అపరాధాన్ని మన్నింపమని పరశురాముడు వేడుకున్నాడు. అంతటితో ఆ కథ సమాప్తమైనా గణపతి మాత్రం ఒక దంతం పోగొట్టుకొని "ఏకదంతుడి"గా పేరు పొందాడు

☀RATHA-SAPTAMI (24TH JAN 2018) AND BHEESHMASHTAMI (25TH JAN 2018) ANUSHTANA VIDHANAM AS PER SANATANA DHARMA SHASTRA

Namaskaram. Dharma Shastra says "Ratha Saptami" is a day which can wipe away sins committed by a person in his past 7 births (Sapta Janma), if you follow the simple procedure recommended by our ancient Vedic Rishis. Let’s first understand what is Ratha Saptami? You know that with the Sun entering Makara Rashi, Uttarayana i.e., day time for Gods in heaven has begun, which has happened in January 2018.  On 24th Jan 2018 Surya Bhagawan (Sun God) who rides in his chariot drawn by 7 horses will turn towards the north eastern direction in the northern hemisphere. This celestial event which happens only once a year on Ratha Saptami day when Sun is most powerful. If we follow and perform the rituals mentioned in Shastras on this day, we will get the punya (merit) of performing rituals of Surya Grahana (Solar eclipse) and this day Lord Surya shines equivalent to the power of 1 crore Sun. “Surya graha tulya Ratha Saptami and Kotibhaskara” says Dharma Shastra. This day is also called as Surya Jayanti (birthday of Lord Surya) or Arogya Saptami (Health Saptami) as if you worship Lord Surya this day you will be relieved from your diseases and sins (papas).

As you know heat and water can remove dirt. Imagine a greasy vessel you are finding difficult to clean, if you heat it with water the grease loosens. Similarly on this day when you have a bath with mantras addressed to Surya, these mantras will burn your sins which you have accumulated like grease in your body, and the water will wipe you clean externally. The sins you committed in your last 7 birth are said to be destroyed by this early morning bath as per our Shastras. So what do you have to do on 24th Jan 2018 ?

1. Get up early in the morning before Sunrise. Finish your early morning activities like brushing your teeth, going to toilet etc.

2. Wear a clean dhoti and an Angavastra/Uttareya (uparna) for men. Sari for women. Children small dhoti/towel. You need to have bath with these clothes on, but before that….

3. You need to get 7 Arka leaves per person, who wants to perform this Snana Anushtana. Arka is called Aakh ke patte in Hindi, Rui in Marathi, Erukkam elai in Tamil, Jilledu in Telugu, Aakonda in Bengali, Neela Erukku in Malayalam. This leaves are offered to Hanuman as mala too on Saturdays. *Photo of Arka leaves attached in my FB post, photos section (www.facebook.com/vedaghosham)*. Please note that if these leaves are plucked fresh they release a milky white sap (liquid), which should not go in your eyes or mouth else it will cause irritation. If you buy or pluck and keep these leaves one day before then no sap will come so it is safe. But caution to be used if any sap seen in the end of leaves then it should not go into eyes or mouth. If you don’t get Arka leaves then you can use 7 Badari leaves. Badari is called Ber ke patte in Hindi, Bor che paan in Marathi, borehannu in kannada, Lanta in Malayalam, Regi in telugu, illandai elai in Tamil, Vadar in Bengali

4. You should keep 7 Arka leaves or 7 Badari leaves or both together, on top of your head and chant the “Ratha Saptami Snana Mantras” (see mantra PDF in 3 languages attached with this message) and have a bath. These are set of 3 slokas only and simple to chant. As the water flows from these leaves on your head through your body it purifies you and the mantras you chant at this time wipes away sins of your last 7 births.

Arka is another name for Surya, so on this day these leaves get the power and energy of Surya. Once you finish chanting these mantras you can allow the leaves to fall on the floor or in case of river you can allow it to float away then finish your bath. 5. This bath has to be performed between 05:30am and 06:30am on 24th January 2018 as this is the Snan Muhurtha. Even though all over India in various cities there is small variations in the timing of Snana or bath I have seen the timings of all the cities and almost all of them definitely fall between 05:30am to 06:30am. Anyone who is abroad and wants to know the Muhurtha for Snan can refer to www.drikpanchang.com, set you location in settings and see the timings. But anywhere in India follow the above timing.

6. Once the bath is over you should wipe yourself and wear dry clothes. And offer Arghya (water) to Surya bhagavan at sunrise time. Mix some akshata (raw rice grains with turmeric), flowers, kusha grass and sandalwood/chandan in this arghya water before offering it, and offer it facing Surya once sunrise has occurred. Arghyadan mantras are separately written in the same page below Snan mantra, which you need to chant while offering Arghya to Surya.

7. Women should draw outside their house a Rangoli/Kolam of Surya Ratha (Chariot of Surya) which has a single wheel. A sample photo of this rangoli attached in www.facebook.com/vedaghosham. In center of this Rangoli of Surya Ratha you draw Surya Bhagavan and light camphor/Kapoor/karpooram on a cowdung cake/kanda/varati or in a mud lamp to signify his actual presence of Lord Surya in the form of Agni (Fire) in the center of chariot and worship him with family praying for good health and wealth. You can chant Aditya Hrudayam or Suryashtakam (available in PDF in google search and youTube). In ancient time people would perform full Surya pooja to this Rangoli outside the house. But currently in flat system it is not possible. So in your pooja room draw another similar Rangoli or if you have photo of Lord Surya do pooja and offer Neivedya/Prasad of Rice Kheer which is well cooked. Surya bhagavan is said to be “Adantakaha” or without teeth as mentioned in Vedas, so he likes well cooked soft Prasad. Consume this Prasad with family and pray to Surya Bhagavan.

8. This will complete the purificatory “Ratha Saptami Papahara Snana” which will destroy your sins of 7 births and will give you progress in life as you are pure now. We face failure in life because of Papas (sins) we have accumulated. No one likes to touch a greasy vessel. Once we are clean and start doing good deeds as recommended in Dharma Shastra we will get success.

9. On the next day of "Ratha Saptami" is “Bheeshmashtami” (25th January 2018) the day when Bheeshma Pitamaha’s soul departed from the earth after Mahabharata war. This day Dharma Shastra recommends all men to perform tarpan/tarpanam to Bheeshma Pitamaha to obtain his blessings for our family. Performing this tarpan will help childless couple to get a child and those who already have children will get blessings for Vansha Vriddhi/good progeny in future. On 25th Jan 2018  morning have your bath, perform Sandhyavandana, and sit facing east direction, change your yagyopaveeta to apasavya/prachinaveetam (the yagyopaveet/poonal/janeu should rest on right shoulder and come below left arm). Mix black til with water in a copper vessel/brass vessel/kalash and by chanting slokas in the same PDF page 3 - 6 in 3 languages also available in my Veda Ghosham FB page photo section with title “Bheeshmashtami Tarpana Mantras” offer tarpana 3 times for each mantra. The water should flow from Pitru theerta which is between your right hand thumb and index finger/forefinger. As per Dharma Shastra this should be performed by all including the people who have their father’s alive. Which means including children can perform this karma to obtain blessings of Bheeshma Pitamaha on this day.

Labh Panchami is known as Saubhagya Panchami and Labh Pancham in Gujarat. In some regions it is also known as Saubhagya-Labh Panchami. Saubhagya and Labh means good luck and benefit respectively. Hence this day is associated with benefit and good luck.

In Gujarat Diwali festivities culminate of the day of Labh Panchami and this day is considered highly auspicious. It is believed that Puja performed on the day of Labh Panchami brings benefit, comfort and good luck in the life, business and family of the worshipper.

In Gujarat most shop owners and businessmen restart their business activities on Labh Pancham after Diwali festivities. Hence in Gujarat, Labh Pancham is the first working day of Gujarati New Year. On this day businessmen inaugurate new account ledgers, known as Khatu in Gujarati, by writing Shubh on left, Labh on right and drawing a Sathiya in the center of the first page.

15 SECRETS OF LORD VENKATESWARA'S IDOL

1. At the entrance of the main door, to the right side, a stick which was used by Ananthaalvar to hit Venkateshwara Swamy is present. When this stick was used to hit the ‘small boy’ Venkateshwara, his chin was hurt. Since then, the practice and tradition of applying Sandalwood paste on Swamy’s chin began.

2. There is real hair on the main idol of Venkateshwara Swamy. They say that this hair never tangles and is silky smooth always.

3. There is a village, approximately 23 Kms from the temple in Tirumala. The entry to this village is only for the villagers. The people are said to be living with strict practices and tradition. It is from this village, that all the flowers, milk, ghee, butter are sourced for the God.

4. Venkateshwara Swamy appears to be standing in the middle of the garba gudi. Actually, Swamy stands at the right side corner of the garba gudi. This can be noticed from standing outside.

5. Every day a new & sacred dhoti (bottom) and saree (top) are used to decorate Swamy. Blessing newly married Couples who perform a spl seva are given this.

6. All the flowers used in the garba gudi are in no condition brought out. There is a waterfall behind Swamy’s behind. All flowers are thrown in this water fall.

7. No matter how many times, the back of Swamy is dried, it remains wet always. If you carefully keep your ear and listen against Swamy’s back, sound of an ocean is heard.

8. Lakshmi Devi is on the heart of Swamy. On Thursdays, during Nija Roopa Darshanam, Swamy is decorated with white wood paste. When this decoration is taken out, the imprint on Lakshmi Devi remains. This imprint is sold by the temple authorities.

9. When someone dies how one does not see behind and lights the fire, similarly, the flowers removed from Swamy are thrown at the back of Swamy. It is said that the pujaris do not look at the back of the Swamy that entire day. All these flowers can be seen coming out at a place called Verpedu, 20 kms from Tirupati (on way to Kalahaasti).

10. The lights (deepa) lighted in front of the Swamy is said to be lit since thousands of years. And no one exactly knows since when these lights are lit.

11. In 1800, the temple was said to be closed for 12 years. One King is said to have punished 12 people (who committed some crime) by killing them and hanging them on the walls of the temple.
They say that, it was at this time that Vimana Venkateshwara Swamy appeared..!

12. The Arch at the entrance of Tirumala Hills is unique in the world.

Natural Arch, Tirumala hills is a distinctive geological wonder located 1 km (0.6 mi) North of the Tirumala hills temple, near the Chakra Teertham in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The Arch is also called Silathoranam (శిలాతోరణం)in local language (Telugu language: “Sila” means ‘rock’ and “thoranam” means a garland strung over threshold, connecting two vertical columns or an ‘arch’ as in this case). The arch measures 8 m (26.2 ft) in width and 3 m (9.8 ft) in height, and is naturally formed in the quartzites of Cuddapah Supergroup of Middle to Upper Proterozoic (1600 to 570 Ma) due to natural erosive forces.

The arch is one of the few natural arches or bridges in Asia.

13. The Idol of Balaji is adorned with ‘Pachai Karpooram’, from Cinnamomum camphora, which is a highly volatile substance,daily. If applied to a stone, it will form Cracks. But not so in Lord Balaji’s case.

14.There is no mark of the Chisel in the Idol.

15.The Idol is always at 110 Degree F, despite being bathed in Water, Milk at the early hours, 4.30am. After bathing the Deity Sweat forms every day and it is wiped off.  ..
