అది ఎవ్వరికీ అర్థం కాదు .మహాజ్ఞానులను కూడా మోసం చేస్తుంది "కర్మను అనుభవించాలి.
నిందిస్తే ప్రయోజనం లేదు. రమణ మహాశయులు కాశీలో
ప్రతిదినము గంగా స్నానం కొరకు పోతుండేవారు.
ఆయన వెంట కృష్ణా  అను భక్తుడు పోయెడివాడు. ఒకనాడు రమణ మహాశయులు
గంగానదికి పోతుంటే ఉన్నట్టుండి , తన వెనుకనున్న కృష్ణా  తో " కృష్ణా  ! నేను
కట్టుకున్న పంచెను కొంచెం చించు ".అని అన్నారు
కృష్ణా కు అర్ధం కాలేదు .వారిద్దరూ ఒకరి వెనుక ఒకరు నడుస్తూనే ఉన్నారు .ఇంతలో ఒక
ఇటుక వచ్చి రమణ మహాశయుల కాలి వేలు
మీద పడినది .కాలి వేలు చితికింది .రక్తం కారుతుంది .ఆ రక్తాన్ని ఆపేందుకు రమణ మహాశయులు పంచెను చింపమన్నారని అర్థం
చేసుకున్నాడు .కృష్ణా అప్పుడు గ్రహించాడు .
వెంటనే రమణ మహాశయుల పంచెను చింపి, కట్టు కట్టాడు .ఆనుకోకుండా జరిగిన ఆ సంఘటను గుర్తించి ,రమణ మహాశయులతో
"మహారాజ్ ! ఇటుక వచ్చి మీ కాలివేలు మీద
పడుతుందనే విషయము ముందే మీకు తెలుసు కదా ! మరెందుకు ఆ ఇటుక దెబ్బనుంచి తప్పుకోలేదు ? " అని ప్రశ్నించారు .అప్పుడు రమణ మహాశయులు కృష్ణా తో " ఆలా
జరగదు కృష్ణా ! పక్కకి తప్పుకొంటే ,ఎప్పుడో
ఒకప్పుడు వడ్డీతో సహా కర్మను అనుభవించాల్సిందే .రుణం ఎంత తొందరగా
తీరిపోతే అంత మంచింది కదా ! "అని అన్నారు .
కర్మ శేషాన్ని ఎవరయినా అనుభవించాలసిందే .

ఒకప్పుడు ఋషులకు త్రిమూర్తులలో అస్సలు బ్రహ్మము ఎవరో అని సందేహం వచ్చింది. ఆ సందేహమును తీర్చమని వారు త్రిమూర్తులనే అడిగారు.

శంకరుడికి...

సద్యోజాత,
అఘోర,
తత్పురుష,
ఈశాన,
వామదేవ.. అను అయిదు ముఖములు ఉంటాయి.

ఈ అయిదు ముఖములతో ఋషుల వంక చూస్తూ అన్నాడు ‘అదేమిటయ్యా బ్రహ్మము ఎవరని అడుగుతారేమిటి? నేనే బ్రహ్మమును’ అన్నాడు.

అపుడు బ్రహ్మగారు ‘నేనే ఈ లోకముల అన్నిటిని సృష్టించాను, నేనే ని పుట్టుక కు కర్తను. నేనే ఈ సమస్త లోకములను ప్రవర్తింపచేశాను ,నేనే వీటిని సంహారం చేస్తాను. నేనెప్పుడూ బతికే ఉంటాను. కాబట్టి నాకన్నా బ్రహ్మము ఎవరు? నేనే బ్రహ్మమును’ అన్నాడు.

తరువాత పక్కనున్న విష్ణువు ‘బ్రహ్మా అసలు నీవు పుట్టింది నా నాభి కమలంలోంచి కదా,కావున నేనే బ్రహ్మమును అన్నాడు. ఇద్దరికీ ఈ విషయంలో జగడం వచ్చింది.

మనకి శృతి ప్రమాణం కదా అందుకని వేదాలని పిలుద్దాం అని వేదాలని పిలిచారు.

ఋగ్వేదం...

అపుడు ఋగ్వేదం ఈ సమస్తమునకు సృష్టికర్త ,ఏ మహానుభావుడు సంకల్పం వలన మొట్టమొదట నారాయణుడు జన్మించాడో, ఎవడు చిట్టచివర ఈ లోకములని తనలోకి తీసుకుంటున్నాడో ,అటువంటి ఆ పరమశివుడు పరబ్రహ్మము అంది.

యజుర్వేదము...

తరువాత యజుర్వేదమును పిలిచారు. అసురీశక్తులు పోయి ఈశ్వరీ శక్తులు రావడానికి జ్ఞానమును మహేశ్వరుడు ఇస్తాడు. కాబట్టి జ్ఞాన యజ్ఞమునందు ఆరాధింప బడుతున్నవాడు కనుక పరమశివుడే పరబ్రహ్మము అని చెప్పింది.

సామవేదము...

తరువాత సామవేదమును పిలిచి అడిగారు మూడు కన్నులున్న వాడెవడు ఉన్నాడో, ఎవరు ఈ లోకమునంతటినీ తిప్పుతున్నాడో, ఆ తిప్పుతున్న వాడిని ఏ యోగులు ఉపాసన చేస్తున్నారో ,ఏ యోగులకి ఉపాసన చేత జ్ఞానమునందు తెలియబడుతున్నాడో ,ఎవడు తనలో తాను రమిస్తూ ఉంటాడో ,అటువంటి శివుడు పరబ్రహ్మము’ అని చెప్పింది.

అధర్వణవేదము...

పిమ్మట అధర్వణ వేదము ఏ మహానుభావుడిని భక్తులందరూ సంసార సముద్రమును దాటి దుఃఖమును పోగొట్టుకుని ఆనందమును తెలుసుకోవడానికి ఉపాసన చేస్తున్నారో ,అటువంటి పరమశివుడు పరబ్రహ్మము’ అని చెప్పింది.

అంటే సృష్టి చేసింది మనం కాదు, నిలబెట్టింది మనం కాదు, వేరొకడున్నాడు. తెలుసుకో అని శాస్త్ర ప్రమాణం. నాలుగు వేదములు అదే చెప్తున్నాయి.

ప్రణవం...

ఇప్పుడు ప్రణవాన్ని పిలిచారు. అపుడు ప్రణవం ఎవడు నిరంతరమూ శక్తి స్వరూపముతో క్రీడిస్తూ ఉంటాడో, శక్తి ఆయనను విడిచిపెట్టి ఉండదో, శక్తీశ్వరులై వారున్నారో, అటువంటి శక్తీశ్వరుడై శక్తి ఆయనతో ఆయన శక్తితో విడివడకుండా కలిసి ఉంటారో ,అటువంటి పార్వతీ పరమేశ్వరులు, పార్వతి వామార్థ భాగమునందు ఉన్న శంకరుడే పరబ్రహ్మము’ అని చెప్పింది.

ప్రణవం చెప్పిన మాటను వాళ్ళు అంగీకరించలేదు. ఈమాటలు రుచించక పోతే ఇప్పుడు ఈశ్వరుడు దండించవలసి ఉంటుంది. కాబట్టి ఈశ్వరుడు అంతటా నిండిన పరబ్రహ్మము జ్యోతిగా మారాడు.

జ్యోతి సాకారం అయింది. సాకారమును చూసినప్పుడు విష్ణువు ఊరుకున్నాడు. కానీ బ్రహ్మ నీవు ఎవరు? నువ్వు నా రెండు కనుబొమల మధ్యలోంచి పుట్టిన రుద్రుడవు. నన్ను స్తోత్రం చెయ్యి’ అన్నాడు.

బ్రహ్మలో మార్పు రాలేదు. ఆయన దండింపబడాలి. కాబట్టి ఇపుడు ఆ జ్యోతి ఘోర రూపమును పొందింది. ‘శంకర ఏమి నీ ఆజ్ఞ అని అడిగాడు. బ్రమ్మ అహంకారంతో మాట్లాడుతున్నాడు. అయిదవ తలను గిల్లెయ్యి’ అన్నాడు.

ఇప్పుడు ఈ స్వరూపం ప్రచండ రూపమును పొందింది. దిగంబరమై రూపం తొ ,బ్రమ్మ అయిదవ తలను గోటితో గిల్లేసింది. ఆ రూపమే కాలభైరవ స్వరూపం.

ఇలా జరిగే సరికి బ్రహ్మ భయపడి పోయి నాలుగు తలకాయలు అమ్మవారి చేతుల క్రింద పెట్టేసి ఈశ్వరా, నేను చేసిన పొరపాటు మన్నించి ఉదారుడవై నన్ను కాపాడు అన్నాడు.

అపుడు శంకరుడు కాల భైరవునితో నీవు కాలము వలె ప్రకాశించుచున్నావు. కాలము ఎలా వెళ్ళిపోతూ ఉంటుందో అలా ఉంది నీ నడక. నీ నడకలో బ్రహ్మ తల తెగిపోయింది. కాబట్టి నిన్ను ఇవాళ్టి నుంచి కాలభైరవ అని పిలుస్తారు.

కాలభైరవ నీవు ఎంత గొప్ప వాడవయినా బ్రహ్మ తల తెంపేశావు కాబట్టి నీకు బ్రహ్మహత్యాపాతకం అంటుకుంది. ఈ అయిదవ తలకాయ పుర్రెను చేతిలో పట్టుకుని పన్నెండు సంవత్సరములు భిక్షాటన చేసి ఆ కపాలంలో తిను. అపుడు నీ బ్రహ్మ హత్యా పాతకం పోతుంది. అని చెప్పాడు.

బ్రహ్మహత్యాపాతకమును తొలగించుకునేందుకు బ్రహ్మ కపాలాన్ని చేతిలో ధరించి అనేక క్షేత్రాలలో పర్యటించినా తనకు సోకిన బ్రహ్మహత్యాపాతకము తొలగకపోవడంతో కాలభైరవుడు శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువు వద్దకు వెళ్ళి ప్రార్థించాడు.

కాలభైరవుడి ప్రార్థన విన్న శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువు  ‘‘కాలభైరవా! నీవు శివుడి పుత్రుడవు కనుక శివుడితో సమానుడవు. బ్రహ్మ దేవుడి గర్వమును అణుచుటకు జనించినవాడవు. నీవు ఎన్ని తీర్థయాత్రలు చేసినా ఉపయోగం లేదు. కనుక నీవు కాశీ క్షేత్రానికి వెళ్ళు... కాశీ క్షేత్రంలో అడుగు పెట్టినంతనే నీ బ్రహ్మ హత్యాపాతకం భస్మమైపోతుంది’’ అని సలహా యిచ్చాడు.

దీనితో.. కాలభైరవుడు కాశీ నగరానికి చేరుకోవడంతోనే బ్రహ్మహత్యాపాతకం తొలగిపోగా, బ్రహ్మకపాలాన్నీ కాశీలో పూడ్చిపెట్టాడు. బ్రహ్మకపాలం పూడ్చిపెట్టిన చోట ఏర్పడిన తీర్థమే.. నేటి కాశీ క్షేత్రంలోని ‘‘కపాల మోక్షతీర్థం’’.

కాశి లొ కాలభైరవుడు విశ్వనాథ లింగాన్నిభక్తి తొ పూజించి తరించాండు.విశ్వనాధుడు భక్తి కి మెచ్చి కొన్ని వరాలు ఇచ్ఛాడు.

కాలభైరవ ఎవడు ఈశ్వరుని ధిక్కరించి బ్రతుకుతాడో వాడి ప్రాణోత్క్రమణము అవగానే నువ్వే కనపడతావు. దీనిని ‘భైరవ యాతన’ అంటారు. అప్పుడు జీవుడు నిన్ను చూసి హడలిపోతాడు.

కానీ ఎవరు నీ గురించి వింటారో, శివాలయమునకు వచ్చినపుడు ఎవరు కాలభైరవుడి యందు శిరస్సు వంచి నమస్కరిస్తారో వాళ్ళ పాపమును నీవు తీసెయ్యి. అలా తీసేసే శక్తిని నేను నీకు ఇచ్చాను కాబట్టి నిన్ను ‘అమర్దకుడు’ అని పిలుస్తారు.

ఇకనుంచి నీవు నా దేవాలయ ములలో క్షేత్ర పాలకుడవయి ఉంటావు. భక్తుల పాపములను నీవు తీసిన వాటిని నువ్వు తినేయ్యి. నువ్వు పాపములను తినేసి వాళ్ళను రక్షిస్తావు కాబట్టి నీకు ‘పాప భక్షకుడు’ అనే పేరును ఇస్తున్నాను.

నిన్ను కాశీ క్షేత్రమునకు అధిపతిగా ఉంచుతున్నాను. నీ అనుగ్రహం ఉన్నవాళ్ళే కాశీక్షేత్ర ప్రవేశం చేస్తారు’ అని చెప్పాడు.

అందుకే మనను కాశీక్షేత్రంలోని కాలభైరవుడు ఆ క్షేత్రప్రవేశానికి అనుమతించిన క్షేత్రపాలకుడు కనుక అయ్యా నాకు లోపలికి ప్రవేశింపచేసి నా పాపములను దగ్ధం చేశావు కాలభైరవా’ అని

ఆ మహానుభావుడికి ఇంటికి రాగానే కృతజ్ఞతా పూర్వకంగా కాలభైరవ పూజ అని చేసి ఇకనుంచి మంచి పనులు చేస్తాను, అని అన్న సంతర్పణ చేస్తాడు. భైరవ మూర్తి ప్రసన్నమూర్తి అయినాడని చెప్పడానికే ఆయన మేడలో ఒక గారెల దండ వేస్తారు. కాశీ సంతర్పణ చేస్తే తప్పకుండా వెళ్లి ఆ ప్రసాదమును తీసుకోవాలి.

ఇహలోకమునందు ఇప్పటివరకు ఈశ్వరుడి పట్ల తాము చేసిన దూషణల ఫలితము ఎలా పోతుందని బెంగ పెట్టుకున్న వాళ్ళ కోసం భైరవ యాతన ఇక్కడే తేలికగా అనుభవింప చేస్తాడు.

అందుకే హరిద్వార్, ఋషికేశ్ వెళ్ళిన వాళ్ళు మానసా దేవి ఆలయమునకు వెళ్తే బయటకు వచ్చేటప్పుడు ‘ఒకసారి ఒంగోండి’ అని ఒక బెత్తం పెట్టి వీపు మీద కొడతారు. అది భైరవ యాతన అని ఆ కర్ర ఠప్ అంటుంది. అక్కడితో పాపాలు పోతాయి.

ఈ విధంగా ఆనాడు పరమేశ్వరుడు కాల భైరవుడికి ఇన్ని వరములను గుప్పించాడు. ఆ మూర్తే ఇప్పటికీ మనకి ప్రతి శివాలయంలో ఆయన ఈశ్వర ఆజ్ఞను ఔదలదాల్చి వచ్చినవాడు కనుక మహానుభావుడు కాలభైరవ స్వరూపంతో ఉంటాడు.

ఆయన భక్తుల పాలిట కొంగుబంగారం. ఎవరు ఈశ్వర ధిక్కారం చేస్తాడో వారి పాలిట భైరవ దర్శనంగా భయంకరంగా కనపడతాడు.

కాబట్టి ఆ కాలభైరవ స్వరూపం అంత గొప్పది. ‘మేము కాశీ వెళ్ళాము.. మాకు ఇంట ఏ భయమూ లేదు’ అని చెప్పడానికి ఒక నల్లతాడును రక్షగా కూడా కట్టుకుంటారు. కాబట్టి ఇన్ని రూపములుగా ఆ కాలభైరవ స్వరూపం ఆనాడు ఆవిష్కరింపబడింది.

ఎవరు ఈ కాలభైరవ స్వరూపమును గురించి వింటున్నారో భక్తితో ప్రణమిల్లుతున్నారో ఒక్కసారి నమస్కరిస్తున్నారో అటువంటి వారు శివానుగ్రహాన్ని పొందుతారు. కాలభైరవుడు వాళ్ళని ఇబ్బంది పెట్టడు. వాళ్ళు ఎప్పుడూ ఎంతో సంతోషంగా, సుఖంగా ఉంటారు.

_Mental invocation is better than oral _

Devotee: When I invoke the Divine Name for an hour or more I fall into a state like sleep. On waking up I recollect that my invocation has been interrupted, so I try again.

Bhagavan: ‘Like sleep’, that is right. It is the natural state. Because you now identify yourself with the ego, you look upon the natural state as something which interrupts your work. So you must have the experience repeated until you realise that it is your natural state. You will then find that the invocation is extraneous, but still it will go on automatically. Your present doubt is due to false identification of yourself with the mind that makes the invocation. Invocation really means ‘clinging to one thought to the exclusion of all others’. That is the purpose of it. It leads to absorption which ends in Self-realisation or Jnana.

D: How should I practise invocation?

B: One should not use the name of God mechanically and superficially without a feeling of devotion. When one uses the name of God one should call on Him with yearning and unreservedly surrender oneself to Him. Only after such surrender is the name of God constantly with you.

D: Isn’t mental invocation better than oral?

B: Oral incantation consists of sounds. The sounds arise from thoughts, for one must think before one expresses one’s thoughts in words. The thoughts form the mind. Therefore mental invocation is better than oral.

D: Shouldn’t we contemplate the invocation and repeat it orally also?

B: When the invocation becomes mental, where is the need for sound? On becoming mental, it becomes contemplation. Meditation, contemplation and mental invocation are the same. When thoughts cease to be promiscuous and one thought persists to the exclusion of all others, it is said to be contemplation. The object of invocation or meditation is to exclude varied thoughts and confine oneself to one thought. Then that thought too vanishes into its source, which is pure Consciousness or the Self. The mind first engages in invocation and then sinks into its own source.
This is certain: worship, incantations and meditation are performed respectively with the body, the voice and the mind and in this they are of ascending order of value. One can regard this eight-fold universe as a manifestation of God; and whatever worship is performed in it is excellent as worship of God.

The repetition aloud of His name is better than praise. Better still is its faint murmur. But the best is repetition with the mind – and that is meditation, above referred to.

Better than such broken thoughts (meditation) is its steady and continuous flow like the flow of oil or of a perennial stream.

☀RATHA-SAPTAMI (24TH JAN 2018) AND BHEESHMASHTAMI (25TH JAN 2018) ANUSHTANA VIDHANAM AS PER SANATANA DHARMA SHASTRA

Namaskaram. Dharma Shastra says "Ratha Saptami" is a day which can wipe away sins committed by a person in his past 7 births (Sapta Janma), if you follow the simple procedure recommended by our ancient Vedic Rishis. Let’s first understand what is Ratha Saptami? You know that with the Sun entering Makara Rashi, Uttarayana i.e., day time for Gods in heaven has begun, which has happened in January 2018.  On 24th Jan 2018 Surya Bhagawan (Sun God) who rides in his chariot drawn by 7 horses will turn towards the north eastern direction in the northern hemisphere. This celestial event which happens only once a year on Ratha Saptami day when Sun is most powerful. If we follow and perform the rituals mentioned in Shastras on this day, we will get the punya (merit) of performing rituals of Surya Grahana (Solar eclipse) and this day Lord Surya shines equivalent to the power of 1 crore Sun. “Surya graha tulya Ratha Saptami and Kotibhaskara” says Dharma Shastra. This day is also called as Surya Jayanti (birthday of Lord Surya) or Arogya Saptami (Health Saptami) as if you worship Lord Surya this day you will be relieved from your diseases and sins (papas).

As you know heat and water can remove dirt. Imagine a greasy vessel you are finding difficult to clean, if you heat it with water the grease loosens. Similarly on this day when you have a bath with mantras addressed to Surya, these mantras will burn your sins which you have accumulated like grease in your body, and the water will wipe you clean externally. The sins you committed in your last 7 birth are said to be destroyed by this early morning bath as per our Shastras. So what do you have to do on 24th Jan 2018 ?

1. Get up early in the morning before Sunrise. Finish your early morning activities like brushing your teeth, going to toilet etc.

2. Wear a clean dhoti and an Angavastra/Uttareya (uparna) for men. Sari for women. Children small dhoti/towel. You need to have bath with these clothes on, but before that….

3. You need to get 7 Arka leaves per person, who wants to perform this Snana Anushtana. Arka is called Aakh ke patte in Hindi, Rui in Marathi, Erukkam elai in Tamil, Jilledu in Telugu, Aakonda in Bengali, Neela Erukku in Malayalam. This leaves are offered to Hanuman as mala too on Saturdays. *Photo of Arka leaves attached in my FB post, photos section (www.facebook.com/vedaghosham)*. Please note that if these leaves are plucked fresh they release a milky white sap (liquid), which should not go in your eyes or mouth else it will cause irritation. If you buy or pluck and keep these leaves one day before then no sap will come so it is safe. But caution to be used if any sap seen in the end of leaves then it should not go into eyes or mouth. If you don’t get Arka leaves then you can use 7 Badari leaves. Badari is called Ber ke patte in Hindi, Bor che paan in Marathi, borehannu in kannada, Lanta in Malayalam, Regi in telugu, illandai elai in Tamil, Vadar in Bengali

4. You should keep 7 Arka leaves or 7 Badari leaves or both together, on top of your head and chant the “Ratha Saptami Snana Mantras” (see mantra PDF in 3 languages attached with this message) and have a bath. These are set of 3 slokas only and simple to chant. As the water flows from these leaves on your head through your body it purifies you and the mantras you chant at this time wipes away sins of your last 7 births.

Arka is another name for Surya, so on this day these leaves get the power and energy of Surya. Once you finish chanting these mantras you can allow the leaves to fall on the floor or in case of river you can allow it to float away then finish your bath. The Snana Mantras (Mantras to be chanted during bath) is sent with this message as a PDF file in 3 languages. 5. This bath has to be performed between 05:30am and 06:30am on 24th January 2018 as this is the Snan Muhurtha. Even though all over India in various cities there is small variations in the timing of Snana or bath I have seen the timings of all the cities and almost all of them definitely fall between 05:30am to 06:30am. Anyone who is abroad and wants to know the Muhurtha for Snan can refer to www.drikpanchang.com, set you location in settings and see the timings. But anywhere in India follow the above timing.

6. Once the bath is over you should wipe yourself and wear dry clothes. And offer Arghya (water) to Surya bhagavan at sunrise time. Mix some akshata (raw rice grains with turmeric), flowers, kusha grass and sandalwood/chandan in this arghya water before offering it, and offer it facing Surya once sunrise has occurred. Arghyadan mantras are separately written in the same page below Snan mantra, which you need to chant while offering Arghya to Surya.

7. Women should draw outside their house a Rangoli/Kolam of Surya Ratha (Chariot of Surya) which has a single wheel. A sample photo of this rangoli attached in www.facebook.com/vedaghosham. In center of this Rangoli of Surya Ratha you draw Surya Bhagavan and light camphor/Kapoor/karpooram on a cowdung cake/kanda/varati or in a mud lamp to signify his actual presence of Lord Surya in the form of Agni (Fire) in the center of chariot and worship him with family praying for good health and wealth. You can chant Aditya Hrudayam or Suryashtakam (available in PDF in google search and youTube). In ancient time people would perform full Surya pooja to this Rangoli outside the house. But currently in flat system it is not possible. So in your pooja room draw another similar Rangoli or if you have photo of Lord Surya do pooja and offer Neivedya/Prasad of Rice Kheer which is well cooked. Surya bhagavan is said to be “Adantakaha” or without teeth as mentioned in Vedas, so he likes well cooked soft Prasad. Consume this Prasad with family and pray to Surya Bhagavan.

8. This will complete the purificatory “Ratha Saptami Papahara Snana” which will destroy your sins of 7 births and will give you progress in life as you are pure now. We face failure in life because of Papas (sins) we have accumulated. No one likes to touch a greasy vessel. Once we are clean and start doing good deeds as recommended in Dharma Shastra we will get success.

9. On the next day of "Ratha Saptami" is “Bheeshmashtami” (25th January 2018) the day when Bheeshma Pitamaha’s soul departed from the earth after Mahabharata war. This day Dharma Shastra recommends all men to perform tarpan/tarpanam to Bheeshma Pitamaha to obtain his blessings for our family. Performing this tarpan will help childless couple to get a child and those who already have children will get blessings for Vansha Vriddhi/good progeny in future. On 25th Jan 2018  morning have your bath, perform Sandhyavandana, and sit facing east direction, change your yagyopaveeta to apasavya/prachinaveetam (the yagyopaveet/poonal/janeu should rest on right shoulder and come below left arm). Mix black til with water in a copper vessel/brass vessel/kalash and by chanting slokas in the same PDF page 3 - 6 in 3 languages also available in my Veda Ghosham FB page photo section with title “Bheeshmashtami Tarpana Mantras” offer tarpana 3 times for each mantra. The water should flow from Pitru theerta which is between your right hand thumb and index finger/forefinger. As per Dharma Shastra this should be performed by all including the people who have their father’s alive. Which means including children can perform this karma to obtain blessings of Bheeshma Pitamaha on this day.

It is a continuous endeavour of Veda Ghosham, to bring back ancient rituals and practices of Sanatana Dharma recommended by Vedic Rishis, back into practice and bring people out of their ignorance of our cultural heritage, misery and suffering and lead them to a happy spiritual life.

లలితా సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రం వ్యాస ప్రోక్తం కాదు. అది సాక్షాత్తు లలితాదేవి యొక్క అనుగ్రహం చేత ఆమె యొక్క ఆజ్ఞ చేత వశిన్యాది దేవతలు పలికితే ఈ స్తోత్రం ప్రచారం లోకి వచ్చింది. ఈ నామాలని ఎవరు అనుసంధానం చేస్తారో ఎవరు ప్రతిరోజు ఈ లలిత సహస్రణం స్తోత్రాన్ని చదువ్తూ ఉంటారో వారి యందు నాకు ప్రీతీ కలిగి వారికి సంభందించిన సమస్త యోగక్షేమాలను తానే విచారణ చేస్తాను అని అమ్మవారు ఆనాడు ప్రతిన పూనింది. కాబట్టి కలియుగంలో మనకి లలిత సహస్రనామం వంటి సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రం లభించడం కేవలం భగవంతుని యొక్క నిర్హేతుక కృపాకటాక్ష వీక్షణం తప్ప అన్యము కాదు. ఇది తల్లి యొక్క పూర్ణానుగ్రహముగా మనకు అందినటువంటి స్తోత్రం.నామము అంటే పేరు. లలితా సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రము అని ఒక మాట అంటున్నాం…..కాని బాహ్యం లో అది రహస్య నామా స్తోత్రం అనే విషయాన్ని కాసేపు పక్కన పెట్టండి. లలితా సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రం అని అవసరం అవతుందా!!! ఆవిడ పేరు లలిత అయతే ఆవిడని సహస్రము అంటే అనంతము అని పేరు. అనంతము అంటే లేక్కపెట్టలేనన్న్ని. “సహస్ర శీర్ష వాదనా సహస్రాక్షీ సహస్రపాత్” అంటే ఖచితంగా లేకపెట్టడానికి 1000 తలకాయలు ఉన్నది అని కాదు దాని అర్ధం. అనంతమైన తలలు కలిగినది అని. అనంతమైన నామములు ఎందుకు ఉండాలి?? ఒక రూపం ఏర్పడితే ఆ రూపాన్ని గుర్తుపట్టి పిలవడానికి ఒక నామం అవసరo. భగవంతుడు/భగవతి ఒక సాకారమును దాల్చింది. అది దేవతల అదృష్టం, దేవతల వలన మనం పొందిన అదృష్టం. ఒకవేళ అమ్మవారి దగ్గరకు వెళ్లి పేరు పెట్టి అదే పనిగా లలితా…..లలితా…..లలితా….. అన్నామనుకోండి మనకి ఆవిడ గురించి ఏమైనా తెలుస్తుందా!!! తెలియదు. అలా ఒక 1000సార్లు లలితా…..లలితా…..లలితా….. అంటే ఏమైనా ఉపయోగం ఉంటుందా!!! లేకపోతే అమ్మవారికి కొన్ని పేర్లు చెప్తే ఏమైనా తెలుస్తుందా… అంటే ఇది లౌకికంగా పేర్లు పెట్టి పిలవడం కాదు స్తోత్రము. నామములు గౌనములు. లలితా సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రం చదవడం అంటే లలితా సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రం కొన్నాళ్ళకి నోటికి వచ్చేసి అప్పచెప్పేయడము కాదు. లలితా సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రం చదివేటప్పుడు ఒక్కొక్క నామం చెప్తున్నప్పుడు ఒక్కొక్క గుణంప్రకాశించినటువంటి కారణం చేత మననస్సును హత్తుకుని నిలబడి పోవాలి. ఎదో ఒక నామం దగ్గర ఒంటి మీద వెంట్రుకలు నిక్కపోడుచుకుని కన్నుల నీరు వచ్చి”అమ్మా!! ఇంత దయ కలిగిన దానివా తల్లీ…..ఇన్ని గుణములా….. ఈ గుణములన్ని మమల్ని అనుగ్రహించడం కోసమని ప్రకాశించినటు వంటి గుణములా….లేకపోతే అసలు గుణముల యెక్క అవసరం అసలు నీకేంటి….నీవు గుణాతీతమైనటువంటి వ్యక్తివి….నీవు అటువంటి తల్లివి. గుణములను ప్రకాశించేటట్టుగా అవసరం ఇచ్చారు”. పిల్లాడికి అజ్ఞానం లేకపోతే, మన్నిoచేటటువంటి గుణం అమ్మదెలా ప్రకాశిస్తుంది. పిల్లాడికి అజ్ఞానం ఉంది కాబట్టే అమ్మ దగ్గర దయా అనే గుణం ప్రకాశించింది. పిల్లవాడి దగ్గర అవిద్య ఉంది కాబట్టి అమ్మవారు వాడ్ని జ్ఞానమంతుడ్ని చేయగలిగినటువంటి ఔదార్యము, అటువంటి శక్తి అమ్మవారి యందు ప్రకాశించింది. గుణంగా అమ్మవారి యందు ప్రకాశించిన గుణములు మమల్ని ఉద్దరించడానికి పనికి వచ్చింది తప్ప అమ్మవారి యందు ప్రకాశించినటువంటి గ్గుణములు అమ్మవారిని ఉద్దరిచుకోవడానికి పనికి వచ్చేవి కాదు.

Srimad Bhagavatam gives example:

An eye opener!

After Kurukshetra war, Dhritrarashtra asked Krishna, “I had 100 sons. All of them were killed. Why?
Krishna replied, “50 lifetimes ago, you were a hunter. While hunting, you tried to shoot a male bird. It flew away. In anger, you ruthlessly slaughtered the 100 baby birds in the nest. Father-bird had to watch in helpless agony.
Because you caused that father-bird the pain of seeing the death of his 100 sons, you too had to bear the pain of your 100 sons dying.
Dhritarastra said, “Ok, but why did I have to wait for fifty lifetimes?”
Krishna answered, “You were accumulating punya (pious credits) during the last fifty lifetimes to get 100 sons - because that requires a lot of punya. Then you got the reaction for the papa (sin) that you have done fifty lifetimes ago.”
Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita (4.17) "gahana karmano gatih". The way in which action and reaction works is very complex. God knows best which reaction has to be given at what time in what condition. Therefore, some reaction may come in this lifetime, some in the next and some in a distant future lifetime.
There is a saying, “The mills of God grind slow; but, they grind exceedingly fine.” So, every single action will be accounted for, sooner or later.
Srimad Bhagavatam gives example: if we have a cowshed with 1000 calves and if we leave a mother cow there, she will easily find out where her calf is among those thousands. She has this mystical ability.
Similarly, our karma will find us among the millions on this planet. There may be thousands going on the road but only one meets with an accident. It is not by chance, it’s by karma.
